Julien de Smedt
Julien de Smedt is the co-founder of 'Plot' and an award winning internationally acclaimed architect. JDS architects employs around 30 people with offices in Copenhagen, Brussels and Shanghai.
He is recognised for his ability to always take a fresh look at things and to challenge existing conventions. At aged just 29 years old, Julien de Smedt won the Golden Lion for his work on designing the Stavanger Concert Hall which was announced as the Worldʼs Best Concert Hall at the Venice Biennale.
Muuto is rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition characterised by enduring aesthetics, functionality, craftsmanship and an honest expression.
Expanding this heritage with forward looking materials, techniques and bold creative thinking, to deliver a new perspective on Scandinavian design.
