SCP
SCP was founded in 1985 by Sheridan Coakley, an entrepreneur who has gained a reputation as a pioneer and advocate of modern design in Britain. Three decades on, SCP remains true to its founding idea, to make and sell design products that are beautiful, functional and made to last.
In 2024 SCP have reverse engineered their entire catalogue of upholstery designs to remove foam, and therefore fire retardant chemicals, from their furniture. This dedicated development work, in addition to a build quality that ensures longevity, and a factory in Norfolk that employs and skills a local workforce, means a truly sustainable collection of upholstery design.
