Seppo Koho is a Finnish architect and designer, and the man behind Secto Design’s range of innovative wooden lighting, which has been awarded multiple times and become an absolute classic of Scandinavian design.

Oho met Secto Design founder Tuula Jusélius in 1995, while still a recent graduate. Aiming to address the lack of wooden lamps on the market, Koho designed early prototypes and worked with a local cabinetmaker to develop a method that allowed each pendant to be made by hand. The lamps proved so popular that Secto Design abandoned furniture altogether in the early 2000s to focus on lighting alone.
