Inspired by the traditional Danish milking stool, comfort was a major consideration in the design of this chair. With no textiles or upholstery, designer Rainer Daumiller ensured that the seat is generously proportioned and that the wood itself is ergonomically adapted to the contours of the body - resulting in a chair that the user can comfortably remain seated in long after the meal is over.
While the golden pine edition has a farmhouse rusticity to it, the addition of a brown/black finish for 2024 creates an urbane aesthetic, without losing the honest materiality of the original.
