VLA62 Radio House Mirror

VLA62 Radio House Mirror

Carl Hansen & Søn

Designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen. The VLA62 Radio House Mirror was designed in 1945 exclusively for the Royal Retiring Room at the Radio House in Copenhagen, now the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
Carl Hansen & Søn is releasing the mirror for 2024, in collaboration with Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects.

Crafted from FSC-certified solid, oiled oak for a more contemporary, Nordic aesthetic, this full-length mirror is assembled from eight carved pieces that are matched to ensure the distinctive grain is continuous. Sanded by hand for a smooth, tactile finish, a deep, concave frame features organic corners that almost embrace the mirror.
Prepared for vertical wall-mounting.

Carl Hansen & Søn

Carl Hansen opened his furniture workshop in Denmark in 1908 and soon became known for the high quality of his work. From one off production the company gradually began to produce small series of its most popular pieces. This combination of hand craftsmanship and rational series production soon became the firm's hallmark - and continues to set it apart today.

Carl Hansen & Søn is the largest manufacturer of furniture designed by Hans J. Wegner and also produces outstanding furniture classics by some of Denmark's most influential architects such as Mogens Koch, Kaare Klint and Ole Wanscher.

True to its founding values, it is Carl Hansen & Søn's ambition to make furniture of the highest quality and beauty with respect for sustainable design, materials and more than 100 years tradition of craftsmanship.
