Designed by Charles and Ray Eames. The Soft Pad Chair EA 231 is equipped with an adjustable tilt mechanism and an upright seat angle adapted to desk and home office work. 
Designed to swivel, but without castors, it does not resemble a typical "office" chair and its casual inviting appearance makes a perfect addition to any well-appointed work-from-home space.

Materials
Backrest and seat in sewn-on cushions with polyurethane foam upholstered in classic Vitra Fabric, Leather or Premium Leather. Leather upholstery variants have back panels in Plano fabric.
Armrests & four star base in die-cast aluminium, with a polished or chrome-plated finish or powder-coated in a colour for a softer look.
Fitted with plastic glides for carpet or felt glides for hard floors.
Seat mechanism - Adjustable backward tilt, lockable in the forward position. Swivel.
Continuous seat height adjustment with gas spring.
