When it was introduced Tip Ton defined a whole new chair typology: the solid plastic chair with forward-tilt action. Now Vitra has developed a version of the chair that is manufactured from recycled plastic: Tip Ton RE.
The high-quality recycling material stems from recycled household waste, particularly used packaging. Using this raw material instead of petroleum-based primary plastics generates 54% less climate-damaging emissions, with a significant reduction in primary energy consumption.
