Hans J. Wegner designed the CH33T chair for Carl Hansen & Søn in 1957. A modern dining chair that offers great comfort and stability, CH33T is a classic chair that appears contemporary despite clear design references to the simple lines of the 50's and 60's.
Everything down to the smallest detail is well planned. The CH33T is based on the idea of creating an attractive and sturdy chair with sensible ergonomics while maintaining a finer dimension in the wood where possible.
Therefore, the tapered legs are thickest where they need to support load-bearing joints with the seat’s rails and become slender closest to the floor.
Frame available in Beech, Oak or Oak & Walnut in a variety of finishes.
**Oak has a clearly visible wood structure when painted and is available only in Black. Beech has minimal structure when painted and is available in all CHS colours - see options here.

Materials
Carl Hansen & Søn use premium quality Ash, beech, mahogany, oak, teak, and walnut. Finishes available are Soap, clear lacquer, oil, white oil.
Wood is a natural material and may vary depending on the environment - walnut and teak can vary considerably in tone and pattern even within the same log.
