In line with HAY's core values of creating functional, affordable furniture - the iconic J-series in solid, long-lasting wood is now updated for 2023 in contemporary colours and finishes. Originally 'designed for the people' by FDB (The Danish Consumers Co-op Society) in the 1940s, these chairs are genuinely timeless.
Børge Mogensen’s classic J42 Chair has precise proportions with simple horizontal and vertical lines used to construct a curved spindled backrest and angular armrests. For version without armrests, please see J41 Chair listed separately.
Add a J42 cushion to your chair for extra comfort.
Requires some simple assembly - standard and felt gliders are available for this chair.

Materials
Oak veneer. Colour versions in beech veneer. Beech veneer core with top and bottom layers in oak veneer. Colour versions feature top and bottom layers in beech veneer. Solid oak base. Colour version base in solid beech.
